All mountain and all weather
conditions dominated the local Zeller mountain ‘Schmitten’ in the
truest sense of the word. Conditions ranged from hard packed to
powder on the pistes and from sun to snowstorm above the piste. Our
test crew, many of them feeling very at home on racing tools, were
once more positively surprised by the all round performers amongst
the carvers of today. More than one of the Olympians enjoyed the
Après Skitest in splendid powder just off the test area with an All
Mountain on his feet and a wry smile on their face. He who likes
exercise and not only après ski, and who lays a great deal of
importance on a sporty performance as well as attractive optics, is
exactly on target with this fascinating jack of all trades. Whether
on a rock hard piste, fresh powder, spring mush or man-made porridge
the All Mountain ski is ready for success as long as regular service
including waxing and edging is a part of the standard repertoire of
the user!
The results in this
particular category were very balanced – all the more reason to
allow optics and budget to be an integral part of the judging
criteria.
Whether the new All Mountain
creations will live up to their demanding criterion again this
season was put to the test by, amongst others, the downhill legends
Patrick Ortlieb and Fritz Strobl, the former professionals Pepi
Strobl, Jan Brolenius, Robert Zollner and Frank Woerndl, Olympic
toboggan champion Andreas Linger, German carving expert Uwe Hanss
and many more.

Gold and bronze! Congratulations to the Head team – an outstanding
symbiosis of beauty and quality! Perfect on long turns, strong on
edge grip – and easy to ride – they have the optical elegance of a
true ‘eye catcher’ – after having fun with it on the piste, this is
a tool that can adorn the living room! ‘Reminds me of my qualities’
is what downhill Olympic champion Patrick Ortlieb said with a grin!

An extraordinary performance from the Dynamic! 4th place with an
unqualified high score on long turns, a strong overall ‘very good’
plus silver at the designer awards for flawless optics! ‘I am taking
this alpine beauty back home with me’ is what toboggan Olympic
champion Andreas Linger had to say – and at that point he did not
even know anything about the attractive price of the Dynamic –
simply a class of its own!
