Down with the scene, casual,
refined – a touch of big city life in the most spectacular parks and
pipes of the Alps. Ski resorts who deem themselves worthy have for a
long time been offering costly constructed Parks with breathtaking
jumps, rails etc. for the professionals. Usually there are also
enough possibilities for newcomers to experience some genuine fun
park feeling too. TwinTips have ceased to be exotic birds, on the
contrary they have conquered a corner of their own in the industry
and continue to fascinate and entice new custom. Anyone who likes to
be on the hip and relaxed side of things is absolutely at home with
these. Totally forgiving, good natured and neutral in handling –
TwinTips suit every man or women – and due to their cool looks they
also entice occasional inciting eye contact on the lift!
As in past years the
TwinTips were ‘doubly’ tested here in Zell am See. Once by the
average Joe Public on the piste and once by professionals who
undergo special tests focussing on jib, switch and jumping
qualities. This years TwinTip Park n’ Pipe professionals were Tine
Huber, Horst Tatschl, Martin Misov and many more were supported on
piste by mogul lady Magarata Marbler, “Edelwiser” Erwin Werdenigg
plus an international mix of test professionals from the alpine
divisions.

A sovereign winner scoring high marks in the park
and outstanding results on the piste! Plus, as a bonus, it has an
unmistakable and attractive design which led the Fischer to silver
at the SnowStyle Awards!
Park: The Fischer ruled the jump category finishing way ahead of
the competition and its evaluation in all other criteria was more
than sovereign! Unanimous compliments from the testers!
Piste: An even-tempered ski. Especially easy to turn and ride,
scoring high on long turns and a thoroughly positive impression on
the piste!

A strong fourth place that Elan clearly achieved due
to its formidable on piste performance! Park: Was not exactly the favourite of our park professionals!
Rather a poor result in the pipe! Piste: The king of the piste amongst the Twin Tips!
Sensational 8.3 on long turns and 7.5 on general handling leave no
secrets as to where Elan’s Partisan strengths lie! Get on the piste
with this thang’!

and a neat switch performance – very strong in the park! Piste: Pleasing to ride, preferring long turns and dealing
very well with hard pistes!

Shining with untypically strong Twin Tip
characteristics on the piste and therefore recommending itself for
your average skier as an interesting alternative! Park: Likes rails and kickers! Piste: Receiving the absolutely highest scores on short turns,
strong edge grip and a very good rating
on turning qualities – a piste freak!
