Hand on heart – who really
likes cruising through the magnificent mountain world with a ski
that one simply doesn’t like? A ski that just doesn’t match with
anything. A ski should be stylish, if not downright eye catching!
Easy to ski, easy to carry, easy to combine plus it has to be fun,
and equally reliable on those afternoon sheets of ice that may
surprise
now and again. It must supply sufficient stability and not be
flighty despite being as light as a butterfly wing. This ski must do
everything. It is as simple as that! The ski industry is, truth be
told, toiling hard each year to reinvent this small miracle of
versatility. Universally applicable, precise and stable skis with
easy handling and good control – these are the attributes of a Lady
Carver of today and of course – as mentioned – it must be as dashing
as its wearer!
Whether the Lady Carver can actually offer all these qualities this
winter was firmly and competently scrutinized by the piercing female
eye of our international and attractive test crew. Spotted amongst
others: former racing professionals Elfi Eder and Katharina
Gutensohn, Ingrid Salvenmoser and Urska Hrovat, plus the press
ladies Angnieszka Harat, Gitti Purner and Katharina Zierl, and many
more.

Strong second best with the highest marks awarded on long turns and
muscular strain. Whoever likes sprightly long turns and also
appreciates running smoothness should defi nitely take the Voelkl to
heart. A delightful and sporty ski which OESV (Austrian Ski
Association) press representative Gitti Purner fell head over heels
for – congratulations!

Deservedly on the pedestal! Even tempered and an affable tendency to

completely taken by the Atomic and her performance – and when all is

Optically more than appealing and therefore a well deserved third
place at the Snowstyle Awards! But not only does the Salomon gleam
on the catwalk of the alpine beauties but also shines on the piste
in the usual Salomon fashion! This year’s winner of the World
SkiTest lucky prize draw Sigrid Schoefegger was especially convinced
of its performance and made no secret of her enthrallment!

Strong on long and short turns with very good grip but also a

Opinions were divided amongst our testers

good because the strengths on long turns and edge stability/grip
could not sufficiently compensate the weaker valuations.
