der Dynastar Troublemaker. Dieser TwinTip präsentierte sich
als ebenso cooler wie sportiver Ski, der in keiner Kategorie
abfiel und als starkes Gesamtpaket bewertet wurde. Auch für
die Pros ein spaßiges Gerät, das vor allem beim Jippen und
Switchen punkten konnte. |

| The idea of
skiing backwards isn't new. But now VÖLKL are presenting
the most logical of all innovations. THE WALL – a twin
tip ski that's got more to offer than a bent tail. THE
WALL is a ski where there’s no more "front" or
“back”, because it's totally symmetrical. In other
words: If you were to cut it in the middle, you would have
two completely identical halves. The advantage: When
you’re switch riding, THE WALL creates exactly the same
feels as when you're going forwards. It’s much easier to
perform tricks backwards. The symmetrical construction
also makes rail sliding safer, because you’re always
standing exactly over the centre of the ski. THE WALL is
also the ultimate jibber tool because of two additional
features. Firstly, its light weight and secondly the extra
hard insert under the binding that protects the coating
when gliding over rails. |

Skis
Not
too long ago a Twin Tip was an exotic ski gazed at by
many and skier cross riders were regarded as genuine
trend setters. Meanwhile both skis and skiers belong to
our everyday skiing life and are inherent parts of our
winter. But - give credit where credit is due -
both categories will never become mass phenomena - and
they shouldn't. Individuality and a touch of exotic
WOW-feeling do our favourite sport good.
