Flachau is probably most known as the residence of Herman Maier. The father is running the ski school and the son is skiing in the world cup,

The lift from parking place P2 takes you...

...up to an area where can decide to continue to the top between Flachau and Wagrain or ski down to the lifts that will keep you on the Flachau side.

On the left side of the gondol you have the slope that takes you down to the world cup arena.

You can also continue under the gondol and ski to the to high speed chair lifts on the rights side.

This is the lower one...

...and this is the upper one. Both of them offers good red slopes.

And finally the red slope down to the ski center.
During our visit there was a lot of skiers in the slopes, but the fast ski lifts gave us a lot of skiing with minimal queues.
