Test the Male World Championship host of 2005

If you prefer long and perfect prepared slopes, fast ski lifts, skiing between 2000 and 3000 meters hight, living in a small town and would like to feel the glory of the alpine World Championship 2005 - Bormio is the place for you.

The ski lift from the village take you to the 2000 meter level, where you can continue with this rope way...
(Photo 1)

...which will take you up to 3000 meters.
(Photo 2)

You can also reach this height via the high speed chair lifts.
(Photo 3)

The slopes are all well prepared, mostly red, and without any moguls.
(Photo 4)

Just above the center at 2000 meters there is a good park and pipe area with jumps, rails and a half pipe.
(Photo 5)

The restaurant at 2000 meters is the center or to say the connection point.
(Photo 6)

The town is just below the skiing system.

Bormio is a small town alp town with the skiing area close to the village. The main street in the town is a real shopping street with sport shops, clothing, food and vine. Hotels are spread out over the area, so we recommend you to check the distance to the center, slopes and the ski bus.

 - Family **---
There is two platters and a ski school area at the central point with the restaurants at 2000 meters. But here are also a couple of other lifts and a lot of persons, which gives us the feeling of being in a larger ski resort. Maybe not the best place for a family with smaller kids.
- Beginner - Intermediate **---
The skiing area consist of mostly red slopes and these are to hard for the beginners.
- Intermediate - Advanced ****-
Good red pists in combination with the black World Champion ship slope give you a good variation. All pists are more and less ending up at the 2000 point, which makes it easy to keep track of your friends.
- Advanced - Expert ****-
Good red and black slopes if you prefer carving slopes without moguls. Fast lifts and long slopes compensates that Bormio has a fairly small system.
- Off piste skiing
Great areas for off piste skiing, but you need a guide to show you the safe parts
- Park and pipe
Great park and pipe area with a big and well prepared half pipe. Rails and jumps of different levels.
Nice to know

If you are driving from north you should drive via the Livingo tunnel. If you are coming from south, drive via Tirano.
