Skiing lover

For everyone looking for a good thrill, wide open spaces and stunningly beautiful landscape, the choice is your's.

At Valmeinier you can enjoy a maiden flight on a microlight, ski down safe, well marked slopes or partake of simple pleasures such as an outing on snowshoe. And if you fancy a break you can just stick your skis in the snow, lean back and enjoy the view of the snow-capped peaks.

Ski area

Valmeinier - Valloire (Galibier - Thabor):

- 150 km of ski runs

- 1600 hectares of ski area

- 70% above 2000 meters

- Top of runs at 2600 m

- 4 sides

- More than 400 snow cannons

- Sliding area : a snowpark, a half pipe, a ski cross, two Easyparks and a ARVA
Park.

Discovery of the ski area

As of this year, thanks to the Tandemski , our ski instructors will be able to introduce non-skiers to the joys of the sport and show them the enormity of the ski area . More information available from the ESF.

There are two itineraries for novice and experienced skiers and snowboarders, which will allow you to discover the Valmeinier / Valloire ski area:

-For beginners,
starting from the main resort, go up the Neuvache run with the Girodičre ski lift and then take the green run to the Arméra chairlift, which will carry you to Valmeinier 1500. Take the Roi chairlift and descend to 1800 via the Chardons.

- For experienced skiers,
starting from Valmeinier 1800, take the Jeux chair lift and go down the Lacs and then the Bleuets run to the Gros Crey chair lift, before descending via the Génépi and the Eglantiers to Valmeinier 1500. Catch the Arméra chairlift and then the Grandes Drozes 6-seater high-speed chairlift, followed by the Combe ski lift (you are now entering the Valloire sector). Join the Pervenche run to the Château Ripaille ski lift, then go down on either the Blanchon or the Belette run and catch the Grand Plateau ski lift (to return to Valmeinier). Descend via the Combe Orsičre, take the Inversins ski lift and return to Valmeinier 1800 on the run of your choice. It all depends on how tired your legs are !
