Björkliden is located in the Swedish Lapland, 250 kilometres north of the Arctic Circle. The area offers fantastic scenery with great mountains and big lakes in. The Icehotel® is available from mid-December to mid-April although December and very early January departures are during the later stages of construction. Ice rooms will be ready for guests and you’ll be able to watch some of the ice sculptures and artists at work, finishing off their creations and certain aspects of the hotel – quite a privilege. However, if you’d prefer to see the hotel is all its glory, the best time to travel is from early January – call our reservations team for advice.

Our winter season starts in the beginning of February and ends in the middle of May. We have approximately 1,5 metres of snow during winter, "real natural snow", 23 slopes with a big variation of ski levels and there is an off-piste that is easily accessible It is easy for everyone to find their favourite slope since there is such a largevariation, the diversity is our strength. The vertical drop is up to 538 metres which is the third highest in Sweden
